Channel Islands Surfboards, in collaboration with Shapers Australia, is excited to unveil the SPINE-TEK technology a revolution in surfboard construction. This state-of-the-art stringer spine is precision-engineered, featuring an innovative blend of fiber-glass and resin. It operates on the concept of elastic energy, where the stringer spine flexes under pressure and rebounds, restoring the surfboard to its original rocker profile. This innovation bestows the surfboard with an enhanced, dynamic feel, elevating the overall surfing experience.

The SPINE-TEK, a pioneering design in the surf industry with its fibrous composition, champions performance by exploiting the principles of elastic and kinetic energy. As the surfer exerts force, the SPINE-TEK spine accumulates this energy, subsequently releasing it to amplify drive, speed, power, and flow.

Remarkably lightweight, the SPINE-TEK spine weighs approximately one-quarter of a pound. Integrated into the surfboard’s deck, it supplants the conventional, heavier wooden stringers and boasts an almost unbreakable durability.
