The #77+. A board designed and built for serious surfing, in serious waves. You wanna get really barrelled during the next swell? This is for you. Over the 2019/2020 season we extensively tested and tweaked the rocker and thickness distribution of the original #77. The aim – increase drive and control. When the waves are fast and hollow, you want to be able to generate speed, but also wipe it off with ease. Kanoa Igarashi ‘the lord’ has put the #77+ through its paces from Tahiti to Portugal with the aim to get as barrelled as possible, but also throw down turns in critical sections. The feedback was incredible. The #77+ has been developed for advanced surfing in good to excellent conditions. Its the step-up shortboard thats been missing from our range. Now its here. You can bet your bottom dollar its under the feet of our WSL athletes and Free Surfing Warriors. Its recommended to order the #77+ in the same width as your go-to shortboard, but increase thickness. Contact us for more information on sizing or custom dimensions if you’re unsure, we’re always happy to help.

The #77 model. Filipe toledos board of choice during his incredible road to victory in the 2017 J Bay Open. The #77 has more entry & exit rocker then his previous Holy Toledo model, coupled with a harder edge above the fins and more subtle concave through the tail. Quoted the “fastest board ive ever ridden by Filipe. This board surfs best in good punchy waves and is recommended for intermediate to experienced surfers only. Order the model the same length as your height.
The #77 has a deep single running form nose the tail with the deepest point sitting right between your fins. This creates grip and lift along with a large amount of squirt off the back foot due to the deepest point being between your fins. Perfect to generate all the speed you need.
A full rocker means manoeuvrability in steep sections off the wave. This rocker runs fluidly from nose to tail in the #77 allowing your archs to be tighter, then letting you get straight back up in the lip when surfing the steepest part of the wave.
Low rails are sensitive and bite hard. This will allow quicker reaction time in solid surf also maintaining hold and control when it’s needed most.
